Predoctoral Program: Housing
Finding a place to live can be a challenge.
Often students post advertisements for roommates or apartment rentals on information boards located throughout the UConn Health Center. One of the best ways to find a place to live
in the area is the Housing Notebook kept by the Dental School in AG036 that lists some of the available housing options and students seeking roommates.
Other choices for finding housing, include classified ads in both the New Britain Herald and the Hartford Courant. Free weekly newspapers such as Tradewinds and the Rare Reminder
are available at convenience stores in the area.
Another resource, the Apartment Guide, is available in bank lobbies, select grocery stores and at the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and advertises large complexes located
throughout the Greater Hartford area.
Local realtors have apartment listings as well but tend to be expensive. Wherever you find a place to live, keep in mind that usually a one month security deposit is required.
