Science Teacher Summer Fellowship Program
The program:

Is
for elementary, middle/junior high and high school science teachers.
- Is open to Connecticut science teachers who teach life sciences to a significant number of minority and educationally disadvantaged students.
- Allows teachers to participate in a basic research project.
- Is a six-week summer program.
- Enables participants to update their knowledge and skills in modern research tools and techniques.
- Provides a listing of faculty sponsors and their project descriptions who are interested in participating in the program.
- Requires that the teacher participant meets with the faculty member prior to the start of the program to develop a research protocol.
- Participants commit approximately 30 hours per week to the project and work with the faculty sponsor or their designees.
- Provides a stipend.
