Department of Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences
The Department of Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences is comprised of the Divisions of Periodontology, Endodontology, Oral Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral and
Maxillofacial Radiology, Behavioral Sciences and Community Health and the Center for Neurosciences. This multidisciplinary Department manages the didactic, clinical and research
components of periodontology, endodontology and the oral diagnostic sciences incorporated with social, behavioral and epidemiologic research as well as research in oral oncology and
inflammation biology. The Department integrates clinical dental specialties focused on the diagnosis and management of oral diseases, emphasizing those characterized by genomic
mutations, alterations in host defenses and microbial profiles, chemosensory disturbances and related disorders.
